About project
We are born with a cry to announce our arrival into the world, so that Mom knows that everything is fine, to connect with the outside world, and establish our first connection with all that is alive and divine.
Body with body, soul with soul, inseparable and invincible, the unity that grows and flourishes, develops, communicates, loves, respects, and cares...
Two are born from one, gathering new beliefs, impressions, and experiences. Each one creates their own world, which sometimes causes us to drift apart. The circumstances and new beliefs widen the gap and make it difficult to access the heart, our soul.
At some point, we lose everything. We separate, disconnect... Then we embark on a search, looking within ourselves, trying to understand where, when, and why the separation occurred. At what point did one become two... almost strangers?
To reconnect, we open our mouths to speak - "I love you, Mom." We look into her eyes, hold her hand, and embrace her waist, feeling the warmth of her hands. We initiate a conversation that initially feels awkward and almost silent. And as it progresses, it gains rhythm, shape, and volume.
The series of self-portraits with my mother is an attempt to start a dialogue between us, to approach each other cautiously and without disturbance. Not striving to understand, but to feel, to revive what has been forgotten, seeking connections and discovering our essence.
To accomplish this, one must delve deep, create absolute silence, and through the path of feeling, reach the first scream that always remains within. We draw closer, connect with the nature within us, and live every second of the moment as one, born of two. We flow with our nature and express gratitude... to heal and recognize oneself.
