Please, sing!

ABOUT PROJECT

Each body is an instrument in motion; each movement generates a vibration, and that vibration turns into sound. The voice is like our secret superpower shaping our lives and the world around us. Each voice is unique and special, being a pure expression of our nature if used without fear or inhibitions.

So, why don't we pay more attention to our own voice? Why do so many of us feel insecure about how it sounds?

In this project, ten non-professional singers participate, most of them claiming they don't know how to sing. In a safe environment and guided by instructions, they explore the power of their conscious voice while letting themselves be guided by their inner voice in response to the request: Please, sing!

At the end, each participant listens to their recording through headphones. It's a magical moment where the vocal experience blends with the image. I have created a composition that merges the voices of all participants into a single piece. And that's what you can hear when you press PLAY.

"Please, sing!" is a celebration of the authenticity and power of our voices when we allow ourselves to be truly ourselves.

Special thanks to sound engineer Tim Pearce.
